Richard B. Cheney an eminent public servant and entrepreneur is vice-president of the United States. Cheney is a well-known figure in the Washington political scene, has served under several U.S. presidents George W. Bush is the fourth vice president, and is the elected president. Bush named Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in 2000, owing to the shrewdness and wisdom of Cheney. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as the chief of staff and secretary during the presidency as well as in Congress is a tremendous serving our country. Both Republicans as well as Democrats respect him for his integrity. Cheney is of the opinion that his work in his position in the Bush Administration is to serve as an open and discrete adviser. In accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks at serving alongside an administration that will strive to get things done by engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians to achieve a mutual purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. When he was 13 years old, he moved together with family members to Casper in the western state of Wyoming and his father was the director of the district for soil conservation in Casper to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
