April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music as a 7th grader when she started guitar and piano classes. April Lockhart composed her first single, Different at the age twelve years old. When April was 14 years old, she spent the majority of her time developing song ideas and perfecting the music. She began writing alongside her father at home in NY and LA soon after. April also began incorporating additional relevant subjects into the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with an ever-growing fan base. She works with popular brand Ilia in partnership, as well as being a specialist in lifestyle. Her disability is a part of her persona, however it's not the entire image. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap in her posts on Instagram, however she isn't making it the focal point of her story. What message is it sending? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity selves are not all that they seem. I don't want that to define me I don't want to be a disability influencer in which I only speak about since there are so many other elements to my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her house in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I go about the same way as I always do and have developed my own ways to adapt. It's also part of me so I think that it's crucial to speak about. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women with regards to self-acceptance. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body, at times, not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing that showed how much of her body. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself dressed in outfits she chooses on social platforms. Self-love for her was a long process. The same is true for everybody regardless of degree of self-confidence. I believe having friends around you who really know you and see the depths of your soul is vital because they'll be the people who will remind you what you concerned about?
