I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and taking wallpaper down with the baby on my back, and others playing into the playpen. Ha! The home was starting to appear nice, however there were a few things left. It would take lots of time and money and my personal favorite brands furnishings for this house. To stay in the realm of budgets, I took to taking my kids to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Our routine for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new pieces and then I would spend weekends painting and sanding the driveway. It was kind of similar to this... Here is where my obsession with in the process of restoring old furniture got started. Although our house was fully decorated, I was unable to quit. It would have probably amused me if I had told you that this was going to be the subject of a DIY Network tv series. Actually, I smile slightly when I recall the story.
